A highlight of the theatrical year, the Olivier Awards 2024 with Mastercard will take place on 14 April at the Royal Albert Hall. The full list of nominees can be found here.

Emmy Award-winner and multiple Olivier-nominee Hannah Waddingham hosts the event and we’re delighted that she will open the show, performing with our ‘Behind the Song’ columnist, pianist and singer Joe Stilgoe. You can read Joe’s unique appraisal of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Richard Stilgoe’s ‘The Rap’ from Starlight Express in our current issue.

The evening will feature performances from Mastercard Best New Musical nominees including The Little Big Things, Next to Normal, Operation Mincemeat and A Strange Loop, alongside Best Musical Revival nominees Guys & Dolls and Hadestown, as well as a special appearance from the Australian production of Groundhog Day

Musical Theatre performers presenting awards include Michael Ball, Cara Delevingne, Adrian Dunbar, Ruth Jones and Beverley Knight.

A highlights programme will be broadcast the same evening on ITV1 at 10:10pm.
