Competition: win access to Sir Tim Rice's upcoming course on BBC Maestro

Sir Tim Rice is the latest name to join BBC Maestro, a paid-for online platform that offers backstage access to the world of Musical Theatre, songwriting and performance.

In an online course spanning 20 lessons available later this summer, the legendary lyricist behind Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Lion King will share his creative process – from the initial idea to the final performance. Those who enrol will learn how to hone their storytelling through writing, glean insights into Rice’s approach through the breakdown of his songs, and receive technical guidance in such areas as the business of writing for film – including Disney and Bond.

‘Your Musical Theatre journey can start anywhere,’ said Rice. ‘It’s been a pleasure to share my experience in the hope it will inspire a new generation.’
